This summer, Raise Up Foundation is proud to launch its fully funded Summer Holiday Club- a free, four-week programme for young people across Luton. Taking place from 24 July to 13 August 2025, the programme offers structured, engaging sessions focused on building life skills, emotional wellbeing, and self-confidence.

The project is generously funded by Active Luton as part of their commitment to improving health, wellbeing, and opportunity for children and young people across the borough.

“This isn’t just childcare - it’s a space for growth, learning, and connection,” said Raman Basi, CEO of Raise Up Foundation. “We’ve created a programme where young people can explore their strengths, build friendships, and develop real-world skills in a safe and uplifting environment.”

📅 Dates and Sessions

The Summer Club runs over four weeks, with two sessions per day:

  • Morning: 10:00am – 2:00pm

  • Afternoon: 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Participants can request their preferred session time, and each day is hosted by trained youth workers at a trusted local venue.

  • Week 1: 24 - 26 July

  • Week 2: 28 July - 1 August

  • Week 3: 4 - 8 August

  • Week 4: 11 - 13 August

🎯 What’s Included?

The Holiday Club is designed around inclusion, access, and development. It offers:

  • Interactive workshops to build communication, resilience, teamwork, and creativity

  • Free nutritious lunches for children eligible for Free School Meals

  • One-to-one support for young people with additional needs

  • Safe, structured play and meaningful group engagement

Programmes are delivered in a supportive and familiar setting, where young people are encouraged to lead, share ideas, and thrive.

🧒 Who Can Apply?

The programme is open to young people in Luton. Applications ask for:

  • Young person’s name, school, and year

  • Parent/guardian contact and emergency details

  • Medical needs, allergies, or SEN information

  • Collection arrangements and permissions

  • Consent for participation and media use

Families are encouraged to apply early as places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

📈 Why It Matters

After-school and holiday clubs are proven to help young people - especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds - develop greater self-esteem, confidence, and stronger social skills. When clubs are local, accessible, and free to attend, participation is more equitable and inclusive.

Raise Up Foundation’s Summer Club puts these principles into practice by removing barriers to access and creating a nurturing, community-led space where young people can belong.

“We believe every young person in Luton deserves a place to grow and feel valued,” said Basi. “Thanks to Active Luton’s support, we can make that vision a reality this summer.”
